If it didn't land
Returns.
You have 30 days from delivery to send a book back. No questions, no restocking fee, no please-keep-it-anyway. If the book wasn't right, we want you to like the shelf next time — and that means making the return easy.
Start the return
Go to your orders, find the order, and click "Return". We'll email you a prepaid label within an hour during business days, by 9am CT the next day otherwise.
Pack it up
Re-use the packaging we shipped in if it's intact. Otherwise any padded mailer or box that won't crush the spine is fine. We don't need the original receipt; the label has everything we need to match the return to your order.
Drop it off
USPS pickup or your nearest post office. The prepaid label means no postage on your end. If you can't get to a post office, USPS does free home pickup — schedule it on usps.com.
Refund or exchange
Once we receive the book (usually 3-5 business days after you drop it), we refund the full purchase price plus your original shipping. Refunds hit the original payment method in 5-10 business days. Want an exchange instead? Tell us in step 1 and we'll ship the new book the same day we receive the return.
Edge cases
The book is signed or limited edition
Same 30-day window. We just ask you to be more careful with the packaging — a signed book is irreplaceable; we'd rather the return arrive readable.
Digital books and ebooks
Refundable inside 24 hours of purchase if you haven't downloaded yet. After download, we treat them like a physical book that's been opened — case by case, email us and we'll talk.
Gift returns
The recipient can return it without the original buyer ever knowing. We refund as store credit by default, or to the original payment method if you ask. Discreet by default.
International returns
We cover the return postage from anywhere USPS delivers to. Customs duties paid on the original order are between you and your country's customs office — we can't refund those.
Past 30 days
Email us — we read every message. The 30-day window is the policy, but life happens. We don't have a strict rule against later returns, just a faster path for them.
What does NOT come back
Books damaged by the customer (water, food, drawn-in margins on a clean copy you want refunded). Books we marked as Final Sale at checkout. Everything else is returnable.
