Shipping.
Books are heavy and the world is large. Here's how we get yours to you, what it costs, and when it arrives. We use tracked, signed-for delivery on every order — no exceptions, because losing a book is worse than charging for shipping.

1-2 business days. USPS Priority Express, signed-for. We ship same-day if you order by 12pm CT.
International
Canada + Mexico

5-10 business days. USPS International, tracked. Customs duties are your responsibility, not ours — most orders aren't held but a $50 book might pay $5-10 in duty.

10-21 business days. We ship every country USPS will deliver to. UK / EU customers, we have a UK distributor for some titles — email us before ordering.
When does my order ship?
Orders placed by 12pm Central time ship the same business day. After 12pm we batch into the next morning's pickup. We don't ship Saturdays, Sundays, or US federal holidays.
What if my book arrives damaged?
Photograph the damage, email us, and we'll either send a replacement or refund — your call. We don't make you mail it back. Damage in transit happens; we'd rather lose the book than the customer.
Can you ship to a PO box?
Yes for USPS routes (every domestic + most international). Not for shipments that need a signature on delivery — those need a street address.
Do you gift-wrap?
Yes, free with any order. Tick the gift-wrap box at checkout. We use unbleached kraft paper and a length of jute twine. No card unless you write one — leave a note at checkout.
My tracking hasn't moved.
USPS scans are inconsistent — a package can go from "label printed" to "out for delivery" with nothing in between. Wait 3 business days from ship date before worrying, then drop us a line.
How do I claim free shipping?
Automatic — once your cart subtotal hits $40, the standard rate drops to $0 at checkout. Promo codes apply to subtotal before shipping, so the threshold uses the discounted amount.
